Together we build our first neighborhood

HFHSC does more than just build homes. We bring God’s people together to build hope, social stability, security, and bring transformational change to deserving families in our community. We have a powerful plan for PAFFORD PLACE - will you be part of it?

After building 65 homes in Sumner County over the past 25 years, we broke ground on our first neighborhood in spring 2021.

The sweet sound of children playing in the sun. Parents watching from behind flower boxes on their porches. Neighbors welcoming, waving, visiting, caring. There’s a common bond. It’s a neighborhood. It’s Pafford Place.  Pafford Place, named after long time volunteers Gordon and Robbie Pafford, will have 9 brand new homes built for 9 very deserving families. Pafford Place will be a source of pride and inspiration for our community.

In seeking truly transformed communities, Habitat views bringing people together not only as a way to deliver a product- improved housing- but as an essential process for building hope and believe that healthier communities are achievable and beneficial for all.

When we work together, statistics become faces with names, stereotypes are broken and everyone has the opportunity to give and receive. These are the realities behind the development of Pafford Place. We must do more. We must do it faster. We must do it with more impact. And we must work with others to expand our reach and depth. Together we can drive our mission closer to the day when everyone in Sumner County has a decent place to live.
