What is Playhouse Project?

The Playhouse Project is a unique opportunity that allows Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County to partner with sponsors to build a playhouse for a local family in need—providing children with a safe place to play and imagine what home means to them. Funds raised go toward building new houses right here in Sumner County.

Are you a family that is interested in receiving a customized playhouse built with love from Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County volunteers & sponsors?

Are you a corporate sponsor looking to engage your team in a meaningful and impactful team-building activity?

Each playhouse will take 5-6 hours to build and paint with the help of 8-10 volunteers. Each playhouse is pre-cut to allow groups to design and decorate.

Volunteers will paint the entire structure, assemble the sides, door, windows, trim and construct and shingle the roof.

Event proceeds benefit families in Sumner County in need of affordable housing.

What started out as a spark of imagination has grown into a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County. When you build a playhouse the end result is nothing short of magical. The Playhouse Project is a program designed to teach young children the pride and joy of homeownership.
